Large-Aperture Tube Lenses
Large-Aperture Tube Lenses
Large-Aperture Tube Lenses are custom optical designs optimized to produce chromatically corrected flat-field images in infinity microscopes. They feature especially large clear apertures to minimize vignetting.
The family currently consists of five models with focal lengths of 120 mm, 150 mm, 162 mm, 200 mm, and 300 mm. Contact ASI if you need different focal lengths.
The lenses are mechanically integrated into an SM2 tube with 50mm length, but the same lenses will be offered in C60 housings to be directly compatible with ASI’s other modular microscope components.
The tube lenses are designed for objective pupils from 9 to 18 mm and support image fields up to 26.5 mm. Normally diffraction-limited imaging is possible using a larger pupil if the field is reduced, as well as vice versa. Chromatic corrections are optimized for visible ranges especially fluorescence microscopy, and broadband anti-reflection coatings (400–900 nm) maximize light transmission.
