ASI offers three main variants of external cubes that are an essential building block for modular microscopes. All variants hold an internal element – usually a beamsplitter cube or right-angle mirror – on a faceplate with internal dovetail mount.
The three variants differ in the details of the faceplate and the adjustment type. Faceplates are interchangeable between cubes of the same variant. One faceplate piece is included with each Cube, and faceplates can be purchased separately for faster swaps between internal elements. The internal elements such as filter cubes or mirrors must be purchased separately.
All external cubes measure 60 mm on a side, and the optical path through the cube is 60 mm regardless of which ports are used. The three ports have female C60-RING connections. Cubes and faceplates are made of 6010 aluminum.

External cube with adjustable faceplate secured by spring-loaded shoulder bolts for maximum stability. Includes one faceplate (C60-DOVE-III). Internal cube not included.
C60-CUBE-III
Cube with adjustable faceplate secured by spring-loaded shoulder bolts for maximum stability. Frequently used with applications involving 45° angles, such as SPIM, to level the optical path. Includes a mirror..
C60-CUBE-135
Faceplate with dovetail mount for fixed cube (C60-CUBE-I), held in place by flathead screws. An eccentric screw allows lateral positioning of the internal element.
C60-DOVE-I
Faceplate with dovetail mount for quick-change cube (C60-CUBE-II). Held in place by magnets and/or thumbscrews. Ceramic-tipped adjustment screws provide fine angular positioning of the internal element, and an eccentric screw allows lateral positioning of the internal element.
C60-DOVE-II
Faceplate with dovetail mount for ultra-stable cube (C60-CUBE-III). Held in place by spring-loaded shoulder bolts. Ceramic-tipped adjustment screws provide fine angular positioning of the internal element, and an eccentric screw allows lateral positioning of the internal element.

C60-CUBE-SLDR-MN – Manual 4-position filter cube slider. Provides manual switching of dichroic, emitter and exciter filters. Can be used stand-alone or mounted to LS-50 focus assembly with C60-RA-OBJ-FC-MNT.
Includes C60-CUBE body with motorized mirror to switch light transmission between two ports. S-version has ~400 ms switching time and +/- 10 arc-seconds resolution. Requires one servo motor control channel.
C60-PORT-SWITCH-S
Includes the C60-MIRROR-SLDR-1mm or -2mm to provide manual switching between three ports (straight through with mirror removed and right angle reflections for 2 different mirror positions) or a dichroic for beam splitting along two different paths. Mirror/dichroic sold separately.
