Cube-Based Laser Scanner
About the Laser Scanner
The cube-based laser scanner is a compact and affordable 1D scan unit designed to integrate seamlessly with ASI’s modular infinity microscope parts. The adjustable faceplate with onboard electronics can also be easily swapped into an existing C60-CUBE-III to scan a laser beam, for instance to generate a digital sheet for a light sheet fluorescence microscope. The beam is deflected by an electrically-driven resonant mirror operating at a fixed frequency. The device is powered by a wall wart adapter and requires an analog control voltage at a BNC connection that will proportionally control the scan angle of the mirror. Various mirror sizes, scanning frequencies, and scan angles are possible. Also provided is a 0-5 V TTL square wave output on an SMB connector for synchronizing external components such as cameras or lasers to the mirror’s scan phase.
