Removing the original stage:
Remove any objectives that may be damaged when removing the stage.
Loosen the two side centering screws, which are located on the left & right side of the stage carrier. As shown in Figure 1.

Use a 1.5mm Allen wrench to loosen the retaining set screw at the front of the stage carrier as shown in Figure 2.
Remove the stage by pulling it forward and lifting up on the rear of the stage.
Installing the ASI stage:
Remove the centering screw from the right rear side of the stage carrier, as shown in Figure 1, and install the new 4mm 0.5 pitch set screw with rounded end in its place. Use the allen wrench to screw the set screw in until the rounded end just protrudes inside of the lip in the stage carrier as shown in Figure 3.

Remove any objectives that may be damaged when installing the stage.
As shown in Figure 4, position the ASI stage so that the junction of the two rectangular lead screw cartridges are on the right side of the microscope. Hold the rear of the stage up slightly and slide the front of the dovetail ring that is attached to the bottom of the stage into the round opening in the stage carrier. Pull the stage forward as to depress the spring-loaded pin that is at the front of the stage carrier, and then drop the rear of the stage into the stage carrier.
Align the stage so that it is parallel to the rear of the microscope.
Secure the stage to the stage carrier by tightening the left side centering screw and the retaining set screw at the front of the stage carrier (see Figure 2).
