PhotoTrack on Microscope tracking a Bright Spot

The ASI PhotoTrack solves the problem of tracking a moving specimen. Combined with ASI's closed-loop DC servo motor XY stages, PhotoTrack allows you to keep your free-moving samples in your field-of-view (FOV) no matter where they want to go.

PhotoTrack uses a low-light-level rapid position-sensing quadrant PMT sensor to monitor a bright reference spot on the target. It then commands an ASI XY stage to maintain that spot in the center of a microscope’s field-of-view.

ASI's Photoport Beam Splitter
Click to go to Beam Splitter webpage. The PhotoTrack is frequently used with a camera to record conditions near the tracked point of interest. When two photoports are not available, a beam splitter may be used to share a microscope's photoport.
