This configuration includes ASI’s MS-2000 Controller and several 50 mm linear stages (LS-50). Each MS-2000 controller accepts up to four stages. The controller provides automatic backlash correction, accepts industry standard commands, and accepts RS-232 or USB communication from a host computer and supports up to four ports entry/exit. The linear stages provide sub-micron accuracy, deriving their precise control by using closed-loop DC servomotors and employing high-resolution rotary encoders for positioning feedback. The stages utilize crossed-roller slides, precision lead-screws, and zero-backlash miniature geared DC servomotors for smooth and accurate motion. They can be used singly or stacked, vertically or horizontally, and can carry loads up to 4.5 Kg (10 lbs).

It consists of three 50 mm linear stages which needed to be mounted on a small breadboard with right angle (RA) brackets, and a MS-2000 Controller. Breadboard is not included; it will come with an extra cost if requested it. The 50 mm linear stages provide sub-micron accuracy, deriving their precise control by using closed-loop DC servomotors and employing high-resolution rotary encoders for positioning feedback. The stages utilize crossed-roller slides, precision lead-screws, and zero-backlash miniature geared DC servomotors for smooth and accurate motion. The three stages are configured to provide X, Y, and Z positions with a 50 mm range travel in each axis. The controller provides automatic backlash correction, accepts industry standard commands, and allows RS-232 or USB communication from a host computer. The controller supports up to three axis DC servo motor X, Y, and Z and it includes joystick and knob. These components are designed to collimate/focus light exiting a fiber to a desired beam diameter or spot size. The lenses are diffraction limited, so they can achieve spot sizes down to a few microns. Lenses also feature an antireflection coating for low back reflection. These units are designed so that they can be used in pairs to couple the input and output light of optical devices.
