ASI does not recommend this solution for new users and no longer supports the functions provided by this resource. These files are provided as replacements for lost files in existing installations. ASI recommends connecting MS-2000 controllers with USB through a USB-to-serial adaptor such as the Keyspan™ USB High Speed Serial Adapter USA-19HS. The recommended LabVIEW software for controlling an MS-2000 is available for download at the ms-2000_labview70_serial.html web page.
Installation Instructions
This package includes C and National Instruments LabVIEW 6.1 source code, Windows DLL and system files, and utility applications that support MS-2000 control over the Universal Serial Bus interface. Unzip this file, then read the README.TXT file.
This package includes 14 files:
- ASIUSB1.DLL, EZUSB.SYS EZUSBW2K.INF, and EZUSBWXP.INF- These are Windows system files needed by all ASI software using USB to control the MS-2000.
- ASIUSB.H - This is a text file associated with ASIUSB1.DLL, and is only needed for C language programming. It is not needed to run any application. This file also includes explanations, descriptions and examples.
- ASIUSB1.LIB is a C library file, needed when programming to link software that uses objects declared in ASIUSB.h.
- ASI USB Demo.vi and ASIUSB WriteThenReadBulkDataExampleSimple.vi - These are LabVIEW 6.1 VI's that operate the MS-2000 via USB.
- ASI_USB_TERM.EXE - This is a Windows application for testing a USB connection.
- USBVIEW.EXE - This is a Windows application for viewing USB system information.
- ASIUSB.LLB - This is a library of National Instruments LabVIEW 6.1 VI's supporting MS-2000 control via USB.
- ASI.ICO - This is an icon definition file.
- USB_WXP.TXT - This contains instructions on connecting the MS-2000 to a Windows XP computer via USB.
- README.TXT - This is an explanation file.
