The LCD-7.9 is an advanced active matrix Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT-LCD) color monitor, with remote control. The high-res 7.9" diagonal screen now displays 673,920 pixels with 1440 horizontal dot resolution. It can auto-sense NTSC or PAL signals, and accepts both S-Video and Composite video inputs. It will automatically power down in the absence of a video signal, and will power back up when it returns. The screen is backlit by a longer-lifetime (20,000 hour) Cold Cathode Filament Tube (CCFT).

Features include an auto-dimming screen, and the ability to invert and to mirror the screen display. The picture can be adjusted for brightness, color, contrast, and tint (NTSC only). The supplied mounting bracket permits flexible monitor orientation. This monitor will run on any DC voltage between 10 and 24 volts, while consuming no more than 10 watts. The interface cable has a BNC video jack providing convenient connectivity to existing cameras, and a co-axial power jack to a power module (supplied).
