The LC-150 video system is a low-cost low-light black and white camera optimized with an external video level controller. The analog camera utilizes the Sony ICX038DLA Interline-Transfer HAD CCD sensor, and offers high sensitivity, a high signal-to-noise ratio, and over 600 lines of resolution. The compact camera unit is 42 x 48 x 96 mm (1.66" x 1.9" x 3.8"), and the external video controller is housed in a 170 x 114 x 58 mm (6.7" x 4.5" x 2.3") case. The controller offers both Manual and Automatic Gain Control for the LC-150 camera, and enhanced Black Level and Contrast video controls for optimum video signal fine-tuning under diverse lighting conditions. The LC-150 is available with USA standard NTSC RS170 (EIA) or European CCIR / PAL video output.
The LC-150 is fairly sensitive and can provide a usable image with an acceptable illumination of 0.01 LUX (0.002 FC). This low light sensitivity makes it a very inexpensive choice for low-light fluorescence microscopy.
