The LC-150 is a low cost B&W video camera with an external controller. The unit utilizes the ICX088DLA ½" interline CCD sensor from Sony. This camera offers high sensitivity, high S/N ratio, and over 600 TVL horizontal resolution. The camera unit is quite compact at 1.75" x 3.5", and the external controller is housed in a small 6" x 4" case. The controller offers manual gain and AGC. Additionally, there are enhanced video controls for additional gain boost and black level control to allow optimum video adjustment under all lighting conditions. The LC-150 is available with either a US standard NTSC RS170 or a European CCIR / PAL video output.
The LC-150 is fairly sensitive and can provide a usable image with an acceptable illumination of 0.01 LUX (0.002 FC). This low light sensitivity makes it a very inexpensive choice for low-light fluorescence microscopy.
The LC-150 offers many features, and one of its most attractive may be its price. The unit is priced thousands of dollars less than most other comparable cameras. In addition to its low cost, the LC-150 offers many other features including:
